Ginger Fudge – This recipe loaded with gingery goodness is perfect for entertaining, snacking, or gift-giving.
I have a confession to make…
Although, I have such a sweet tooth for chocolate I have never made chocolate fudge before in my life. I just had the impression that it was overly sweet. Well… it’s sweet and creamy and supremely chocolatey but still enjoyable! I found that cutting it in small bites is the best way to serve them. Besides, it’s the best presentation for entertaining. People will just love you.
To make my first fudge ever I used NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Famous Fudge Kit. This kit is amazingly convenient. Everything you’re going to need it’s inside – you only have to add a little bit of butter – and then top it with whatever you want.
You know that simple and easy for me it’s very important. Especially this time of the year, with all that shopping, gift-exchanging lunches with friends, and going to parties I can use a little extra time. Good news…this fudge was unbelievably simple to make! It literally took me 5 minutes to prepare it. I probably spend more time lining the baking pan than I did making the fudge.
This recipe is loaded with gingery goodness: candied ginger and the gingersnaps cookies. The sweet spiciness of the crystallized ginger in this recipe complements the richness of the dark chocolate. Let me tell you… This combination is a marriage made in heaven.
Chocolate is a perfectly acceptable gift to give! So Create a unique gift for family and friends this year by making some fudge platters. The nice thing about fudge is you can create it well ahead of time. I like to go to the dollar store and purchase holiday plates, boxes, and cans. You can also put some pieces of fudge in a Mason jar. Don’t forget a cute tag, some ribbon, and voila…gift complete!
