Best Vodka and Passion Fruit Coaktail

Is this Passion Fruit Caipiroska screaming your name?

I have to admit that until a few months ago I was clueless about cocktails. I’ve never been a big drinker so my husband always has been in charge of that department. But in the past few weeks, I’ve started to enjoy the art of mixology. I am fascinated with the fact that with a few ingredients I can combine so many notes of flavors. And to top off … cocktails are so damn photogenic.

As you may know…I’m a fruity drink kinda girl!! So here is another fruity drink you’ll definitely love!

Meet my Passion Fruit Caipiroska!!

  • Lime: Lemon will work fine too.
  • Fresh passion fruit pulp: about 3 – 4 small passion fruits. To get the pulp out of the passion fruit, cut them in half, and then with a spoon, scoop out the passion fruit pulp and place it in a bowl. The seeds are edible.
  • Sugar: Regular white sugar, also known as caster sugar.
  • Vodka: I used Alizé Gold Passion Vodka. You can also use regular plain vodka, see notes below for details.
  • Ice
  • Mint leaves to garnish – optional.

To make this Passion Fruit Caipiroska I used Alizé. If you’re not familiar with this liqueur let me tell you that it’s incredibly delicious. Alizé is an infusion of French Vodka and luscious flavors from the world’s most exotic regions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Caipiroska?

Caipiroska or caipivodka is a cocktail that is like a the famous Brazilian caipirinha but prepared with vodka instead of cachaça.

Can I use regular plain Vodka?

Yes, you can! In that case, I recommend adding 1/2 cup of passion fruit juice and 1/4 cup of plain vodka. Of course, you can adjust the quantities according to your liking.

I want to make a pitcher, what are the quantities needed?

For a pitcher use, 4 – 5 limes (cut into wedges), 4 – 5 tablespoons of sugar, 12 oz passion fruit pulp (or more to taste), 2 cups (480 ml) passion fruit juice, 1 cup (240 ml) vodka (or more to taste), 10-12 leaves of fresh mint. When ready to serve, pour over ice-filled glasses.

    Delicious & easy to make!
I didn’t have flavored vodka, or ice, so I added regular vodka and 1/4 cup of soda to mellow it down. Came out yummy!
    Thank you 🙂

Thank you!! I looked up lime and passion fruit cocktail and your recipe came up! i wanted to know what alcohol to put with those ingredients as I had on hand passion fruit juice and key limes. It was delicious, loved the mint garnish! We also added Cointreau as we had more liquid.
