  1. Make the simple syrup

In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Continue cooking, without stirring, until the mixture reaches a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.

  2. Prepare the fruit

Cut all the fruit into bite-size pieces.

Extra Recipe Tips For Success

  • You can add different fruit into sangria, but this time I went with peaches, nectarines, and kiwis.
  • Let the sangria chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • My favorite wines to make white sangria are Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
  • You can substitute ginger ale for club soda if you prefer.
  • Don’t add ice to the pitcher because that will dilute the sangria; instead, pour it over ice before serving.

Storage Instructions

Refrigerate sangria for at least four hours or overnight. It can last up to three days in the refrigerator. Just make sure to add the ginger ale or soda water before serving it over ice.

Frequently Asked Questions

For best flavor, I recommend refrigerating the sangria for at least 2 to 4 hours. This gives the fruit time to infuse the wine with its sweetness and bright flavors. If you have the time, overnight is even better!

Choose a white wine that’s light, crisp, and slightly fruity—like Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or Moscato if you like it sweeter (like I do!). No need to splurge on an expensive bottle—just pick something you’d enjoy drinking on its own.

Yes! In fact, it’s even better when made ahead. I usually prep it the night before and let it chill overnight so the flavors can really come together.

Absolutely. Frozen fruit works great, especially if you’re short on time or want to keep things budget-friendly. It also helps keep the sangria cold without watering it down.

I love using a mix of oranges, berries, peaches, and apples, but you can use whatever’s in season or in your fridge. The more colorful, the better!
