Notes

STORE: store the lemonade in a pitcher with a lid in the refrigerator for up to  5 to 7.
STRAWBERRIES:  I love using fresh, juicy strawberries, but frozen strawberries can be used if you don't have any fresh berries on hand.
HONEY: Depending on how naturally sweet your strawberries are, you may not even need to add much sweetener. So feel free to adjust the proportions of water and honey depending on how sweet and strong you like your lemonade. You can replace honey with sugar, agave, stevia, or another natural sweetener if you want.
GRENADINE: Grenadine is a non-alcoholic syrup made from pomegranate juice, sugar, and lemon juice. It has a sweet-tart flavor and a deep red color. It's commonly used to boost sweetness and bright color in mocktails and cocktails. In this recipe, it is totally optional. If you decide not to use it, you might need to add a bit more honey and lemon juice. I recommend to taste and adjust to your liking.
QUICK TIPS:
  • The brighter the strawberries, the riper they are. Pick the reddest ones you can find for the sweetest strawberry lemonade.
  • You're going to want freshly squeezed lemon juice for the lemonade and not the bottled stuff. Bottled doesn't taste as fresh and bright as fresh.
  • You can change things up by using sparkling water instead of regular water.
  • Don't have strawberries? Try this with blueberries or raspberries.
  • Add a splash of vodka or tequila to turn this into a strawberry lemonade cocktail!
  • Just before serving, stir in sliced strawberries, lemon, and mint sprigs if desired.
