These Slow Cooker Beer Pork Chops are spectacularly delicious! This recipe results in tender, flavor-packed pork chops that taste like a million bucks. You can make this tonight with any pork chops or even CHICKEN!
Season pork chops with salt, black pepper and garlic powder.
In the slow cooker or a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat; brown chops on both sides. If you are short of time you can skip this step.
Place pork chops in the slow cooker.
Mix ketchup, beer and brown sugar in a small bowl. Pour this mixture over the pork chops in the slow cooker and cover.
Cook on HIGH heat setting for 3 hours or on LOW for 6 hours, or until fork-tender. Remove pork chops from slow cooker, and place on a plate; cover to keep warm.
In a small bowl, stir cornstarch and water until well blended; stir into sauce in slow cooker. Return pork chops to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH heat setting 15 minutes or until thickened.
Serve pork chops with the sauce.
Notes
Thick pork loin chops (with bone) are the best cut for this recipe. You could also use chicken - however, the cooking time may change a little depending on the thickness of the chicken. Cook for same time for boneless thigh fillets and/or 7oz breasts. For thicker cuts cook until a meat thermometer reads 165º Fahrenheit.Freezing: Place pork chops and sauce in freezer containers. Cool and freeze. To reheat, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight.
