  • With an electric mixer on medium speed cream butter for 4 - 5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Add the confectioner's sugar gradually, beating after each addition.
  • Add the Nutella, beating until smooth.
  • Beat in the vanilla extract, salt, and heavy whipping cream until desired spreading consistency is reached, about 2 minutes

Notes

 
Cream the butter long enough so the frosting will not have a buttery flavor. That's my secret!
