This delicious Yogurt Pesto Dip with Homemade Thyme Pita Chips will be for sure a big hit at your next party! Simple to make. No fuss. Just 5 ingredients!!!
11 days into December, I’m shaking my head in total incredulity. It’s almost Christmas and we soon will be saying goodbye to 2015. Every year, I promise myself I won’t wait until the last minute to do our holiday shopping, but once again, it’s the week before Christmas and I haven’t done it yet. Yes, it’s not looking good for me. The good news is that we decided to do secret Santa this year so it will save me some money and some desperate shopping frenzy.
In the other hand and in order to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season, I am sharing this amazing, and I mean AMAZING, Yogurt Pesto Dip with Homemade Thyme Pita Chips. This is perfect if you are hosting a large crowd. It’s simple and fuss-free, but delicious!
There’s nothing terribly complicated about this recipe, but I do love the fact that it’s made with Chobani® yogurt, which gives a light and tangy touch. Plus, Non-fat Plain has 44% of the daily value for protein, which is 22% more of the daily value for protein than regular yogurt. Perfection.
Other Chobani® yogurt benefits:
- Three types of probiotics
- 40% less sugar than regular yogurt
- No artificial flavors or sweeteners
- Only natural ingredients that are not genetically modified
I love to use Greek yogurt as a substitute for sour cream, mayonnaise, or oil for a healthier take on recipes. It’s also a great egg substitute in baked goods. There are so many ways to use it. In fact, I bought the larger 32 oz container for this recipe and my kids ate the leftovers with cereal or granola for breakfast.
This Yogurt Pesto Dip recipe is anything but boring. It’s super thick, super creamy, and simply incredible on top of homemade Thyme Pita Chips pita. The crunchy pita chips? I just cut the pitas into 8 slices each, brush with some olive oil, garlic powder and fresh thyme. Then I baked them at 400ºF for 10 -12 minutes.
